A miracle happened!!
I was fighting for tickets and losing out...
I was also exchanging tickets for the orchestra pit...
I had just given up and was about to enjoy the live broadcast at the cinema...
I heard from an acquaintance that someone couldn't go suddenly and asked if I could go...
I said, "Please wait just for a moment."
I quickly searched how much it would cost to get to Tokyo,
and was grateful for this lucky break.
As I live in Kansai, travel expenses are always a headache.
This time I went with JR Central's Shift Travel package.
The Shinkansen time wasn't very good, but I was able to go at a reasonable price.
I left work an hour early and was on the 4pm bullet train.
The day before, I saw Excalibur NOW ON on Sky Stage.
I was so excited I couldn't sleep much.
I was even more excited on the bullet train, so I calmed myself down with a beer.
An old friend who lives in Tokyo kept me company for dinner.
It had been about three years since we last met because of COVID.
I felt like I was the only one talking.
I was already enjoying Tokyo.
The next day, there was the 11pm performance at Brillia Hall.
I was on the third floor, but I had a good seat with a good view of the whole stage.
The Arthurian legend has been performed many times by Takarazuka, but this time it was a Korean musical turned into a Takarazuka.
As for the development, where was the refreshing opening?
The dark descent in the second half was a bit of a drag, but
Kiki-chan gave a brilliant and refreshing performance of the dark.
Personally, I prefer the dark costumes.
Lancelot's Zun-chan and Wakasho Ritsu's Merlin
Mappu-san's father. Everyone was hooked.
And Mashiro Yuki's magnificent performance as Morgan.
I'm so glad I got to see it live.
So cool.
My favorite line was in the second half,
"I guess I failed..."
So cool.
My bullet train was at 3:30,
so after watching it I went straight to Tokyo Station,
had a quick drink for lunch and headed home.
I was so excited I fell asleep on the way home.
And
On Saturday of that week (yesterday!),
I watched a live broadcast at the cinema for the first time in a while.
The camera work was stress-free (top-down).
And during the intermission, I exchanged opinions with my friends after the show.
(This is important.)
It was a fun weekend.
